A Survey of Women Artists Working in California, 1860-1960

In the December 2018 issue, the art periodical American Art Review published a 12-page article titled “California Women Artists Emerge, 1860-1960.”

The article is replete with numerous images taken from the exhibit at the Pasadena Museum of History, “Something Revealed” running from October 2018 until the end of March 2019.

Based upon the 4-volume set “Emerging from the Shadows” by Maurine St. Gaudens, with the assistance of Joseph Morseman, the exhibit and the books bring to light the many talented yet forgotten women artists of California.
